Short version: use the leads to contact those businesses yourself, respect a no, and do not turn the output into a product. This policy forms part of the terms.
What the data is for
Researching and contacting the businesses in your list, on your own behalf or on behalf of a client you are doing the outreach for. Loading it into your own CRM or sending tool is fine — that is the workflow.
What it is not for
- Reselling, licensing or publishing the data, in whole or in part, including as a downloadable file, a dataset, an API or a directory.
- Building or enriching a competing lead database, a business listing service, or a substitute for the map data we license.
- Training a model on the delivered data, or on the scores and reasons that come with it.
- Stripping the attribution that accompanies map-derived rows, or presenting that data as your own.
- Contacting individuals rather than businesses, or using the data for anything other than business-to-business outreach.
How you contact people
Marketing law is yours to comply with and it differs by country. Identify yourself honestly, say how you got in touch, offer a way to opt out and honour it, and do not disguise your sender address. Do not use the data for anything deceptive, and do not use it to contact a business that has already told you to stop.
If a business asks you to stop, tell us at [email protected] and we will suppress it for every customer, not just yours. That costs you nothing and it is the mechanism that keeps this kind of product tolerable.
Using the service itself
No scripted or automated use of the interface beyond ordinary browsing, no attempts to work around rate limits, quotas or the free preview, no multiple accounts to multiply trial credits, and no probing the service for vulnerabilities without asking us first — we will say yes and we would rather hear from you than from someone else.
If this is breached
We will normally tell you what is wrong and give you a chance to fix it. For serious or repeated breaches — reselling, in particular — we suspend the account immediately and refund unspent credits. Where a breach puts our own data licences at risk we have no discretion to be lenient about it.
