Credits are prepaid, so most of what people mean by “refund” is handled automatically before anyone has to ask. This page covers both the automatic part and the part where you email us.
A run that delivered less than you asked for
Nothing to claim. Starting a run holds credits; finishing it charges for the leads actually delivered and releases the rest back to your balance, within the same transaction that settles the job. You can watch the held figure in the header while a run is going.
A run that completes keeps a minimum charge of 10% of what was held — the search, crawling and scoring happen whether or not the area is full. A run that fails has no minimum: it pays only for the leads you received.
Unused credits
Unspent credits from a purchase can be refunded within 14 days of that purchase, to the card that paid for it. Email [email protected] and say which purchase. We do not ask for a reason.
Credits already spent on delivered leads are not refundable under this section — you have the data. If the data is the problem, the next section is the one you want.
When we got it wrong
No time limit and no fixed list. If a run delivered results that were plainly not what the product promises — the wrong kind of business throughout, duplicates of leads you already had, or scoring that turns out to have been produced without reading anything — tell us and we will credit it back. We would rather return the credits than argue about a judgement call.
What is not a defect: a business that does not answer, a lead that turns out not to want your offer, or a vertical whose website coverage is low and was published as low before you bought it.
Closing your account
Unspent credits are refunded when you ask us to close your account — email [email protected] — and when we close it for any reason other than a serious breach of the acceptable use policy.
How and when
Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment processor, usually within a few working days of us approving one. The credits are removed from your balance at the same time. Tax is refunded with the amount it was charged on.
Statutory rights
MapMyLead is sold to businesses, so the consumer right of withdrawal generally does not apply. Where it does apply to you, it applies in addition to everything above and nothing on this page limits it.
