These terms are the agreement between you and MapMyLead for the use of MapMyLead. Creating an account means you accept them.
1. The service
MapMyLead searches commercial map data for businesses matching a description you provide, reads those businesses’ public websites, scores each one, and presents the results to you with a written reason. We deliver data. We do not send outreach on your behalf and we make no claim about how any lead will respond.
Scores are automated judgements from public evidence, offered so you can check them. They are not statements of fact about a business and must not be relied on as such.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be acting for a business, be able to enter a contract, and give accurate details. One person or organisation, one account — sharing an account to multiply free credits is a breach of these terms.
3. Credits and payment
The service is prepaid. Credits are bought in packs through our payment processor, and one credit corresponds to one new business delivered to a project. New accounts receive 50 credits at no charge.
Starting a run holds credits; finishing it charges for the leads delivered and releases the remainder. A run that completes carries a minimum charge of 10% of the amount held, because the search runs whether or not the area turns out to be full. A run that fails is charged only for leads delivered.
Credits do not expire. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. Refunds are covered on the refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
4. What you may do with the data
Data delivered to you is licensed for your own business development: contacting the businesses in it, and internal analysis. It is not sold to you and it is not yours to redistribute. You may not resell it, publish it, build a directory from it, or pass it to a third party other than a service provider acting on your instructions.
Some delivered content is licensed from our map data provider and carries that provider’s attribution. You must keep that attribution wherever the data is displayed. The acceptable use policy sets out the rest, and also forms part of these terms.
5. Your obligations when you contact a lead
You are the data controller for whatever you do with a delivered lead. Marketing and electronic-communication law — consent, prior business relationship, opt-out, sender identification — applies to you, and varies by country. We cannot and do not confirm that any particular outreach is lawful in your jurisdiction.
If a business tells you to stop contacting it, stop, and tell us so we can suppress it for everyone.
6. Availability and change
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change. Where a change materially reduces what your unspent credits can buy, you may ask for those credits to be refunded.
We depend on third-party data and model providers. If one of them becomes unavailable to us, runs may be degraded or paused; you will not be charged for leads you did not receive.
7. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
8. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing us; there is no self-service button for it, and we would rather you got a person than a confirmation dialog. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the acceptable use policy, and where the breach is not deliberate we will tell you what is wrong first. On closure for any reason other than a serious breach, unspent credits are refunded.
Closing an account anonymises your personal data. Financial records are retained, because the law requires us to keep them.
9. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Germany. Questions go to [email protected].
We will give notice of material changes to these terms by email before they take effect.
